You'll be doing very well if you are allowed 6 guns without a monitored alarm, better than the vast majority of firearms holders in Ireland.

You might be in for a surprise when the local Superintendent tells you what he requires you to have if you want to have 6 firearms in the house.

If you read both posts properly you might notice a difference in what we both said.

He thinks (because the local Garda told him so) he can have 6 firearms without a monitored alarm and that that is the law, it's not.

Well according to one member on here the Swedes get paid twice as much as people in the UK. So may be I’ll come over there and start terrorising the wildlife.

Not sure it's twice as much. I'm payed by the hour now I'm retired and part time.I get about 18 pounds an hour for casting concrete in a factory and pay 8% tax as I'm over 66 year's old. I'm not complaining

I did my £10 worth as you’re limited to 5x adds now and that just isn’t enough.
