Tight bolt lift with no other pressure signs ?????.

One of the issues I have come across with re-barrelled rifles is that the trend for tight chambers is not always helpful. Two of my 308's were chambered at Lothar Walther factory with a medium chamber (not minimal) and have no issues what so ever with any ammo or accuracy. Had six other rifles re-barrelled elsewhere that ended up with very tight chambers, so tight even factory ammo was hard to extract. This put a dampener for myself and some of my customers on getting further rifles re-barrelled.

Were these Lothar Walther pre-fit barrels for Tikka T3?

No was before LW offered those. One made for a Sako and the other was an off the shelf Mauser barrel. Several rifle builders in Germany get their barrels chambered from LW. STL, ASH etc. With LW one can choose the chamber spec normal or minimal.
I think the issue is the choice of reamer, too tight is too tight no matter what brass unless one has a special die. With a 308 or 223 the small base dies are available and will help. Even brass from a larger chamber can be made fit with those.
