Which Copper solvent?

My recommendation would be C2R. I used to use KG carbon remover and big bore cleaner (copper solvent) but for the last couple of years have used only C2R. It does an excellent job through chemical action with no scrubbing needed. I still use KG carbon remover for muzzle threads and the big.nore cleaner for brass marks on the bolt, but that's all. (Sweets is horrible! I bought some 20 years ago, used it once, and never again.)

Just started using Boretech. First wet patch down comes out bright blue from the outset. No hanging around waiting for solvent to soak in. Very happy with it.

Sugetions on what is the best bore cleaning solvent & is it best to use 2 products one for genral carbon fouling followed by one for copper or one product that claims to do all in one go?

Forgot to mention it is a stainless barrel if that makes a difference?

Any opinions on Sweets copper solvent?
I know it's an old thread but looking for solvents it came up. I've used 762, KG12, Forrests etc etc in the past and this is the best I've found Bore Tech Eliminator Bore Cleaner | The Best Gun Cleaning Solvent From Bore Tech

If you've a stainless steel barrel, avoid anything like 762 like the plague as it'll etch it.

Mercury outboard Quicksilver is the benchresters favorite but it is dangerous if it contacts your body/eyes/lungs so use it only outside and wear full protection.

I’ve tried several over the years but now stick with Wipeout Tactical Advantage, it’s good on carbon and copper.

I have been using Montana Copper Killer……incredible stuff that removes copper fouling very easily but hells bells it smells of super strong ammonia so needs to be used with care and to be fully removed from all gun parts after cleaning.

I too like the Montana Xtreme products. I find their bore solvent is excellent and the Copper Killer is very effective. Stinks to high heaven though.

The Copper Killer is advertised as being totally barrel safe.

Plain old Hoppes #9 when I need it... often when I don't. I love the smell.
When I want copper completely out, I do it electronically.~Muir
