I know it's an old thread but looking for solvents it came up. I've used 762, KG12, Forrests etc etc in the past and this is the best I've found Bore Tech Eliminator Bore Cleaner | The Best Gun Cleaning Solvent From Bore TechSugetions on what is the best bore cleaning solvent & is it best to use 2 products one for genral carbon fouling followed by one for copper or one product that claims to do all in one go?
Forgot to mention it is a stainless barrel if that makes a difference?
Any opinions on Sweets copper solvent?
What material is your jag made of?Just started using Boretech. First wet patch down comes out bright blue from the outset. No hanging around waiting for solvent to soak in. Very happy with it.
Plastic..What material is your jag made of?
Sounds like a result thenPlastic..
Not copper !
Makes great fly paper.Lucky you did not soak some iodine crystals in with it an allowed it to dry= nitrogen triiodide, contact explosive.
Is that using the Outers unit or an internet driven homemade version.Plain old Hoppes #9 when I need it... often when I don't. I love the smell.
When I want copper completely out, I do it electronically.~Muir
