The wolf whistle

A wolf whistle is mostly harmless ….touching in any way, is not….and (not in an big headed manner) I have been lucky enough to observe a few wolf whistles towards my wife…it fills me with pride when I cross the road to where she is waiting and they realise she’s with me…(let’s me know I’m punching above my weight too. 😂) is it a bit sleazy - sure, but I know of women who would walk past a site just to get a wolf whistle and it makes their day.

The common times you see it is walking past a scaffold on a site and from what I’ve seen it isn’t 20 guys, it’s a couple having a laugh. Nothing sinister just acknowledging a good looking woman.

it happens the other way too and I have always been flattered as I’m by no means a pretty boy.

I have never observed anyone laying a hand on my wife or another female that I can remember and if they did her reaction I’m sure would be enough to warn them off as they’d be removing their nuts from their throat after she’d kicked them there.

I find the women who object to it are the feminazi blokey looking sea donkeys who are bitter as they have never been the target of a wolf whistle…

Regards,
Gixer

I have to admit to being entirely with this change to attitudes in society after having been wolf whistled many times during a trip to San Francisco.
The abuse came from all sorts, bikers, naval ratings, construction workers and red indians. Young men. Mostly around the navy recruitment office and the YMCA.
Personally, it was degrading. I no longer felt like a sentient human being, just a cheap piece of meat.

Italian women like to be whistled at, English women don't. If you want to stand a chance, compliment them on their false eyelashes, their false nail parlour jobs, their awful tattoos, & their facial piercings. Don't tell em the truth. They will be like putty in your hands.
I married a Sicilian Irish Girl ... once, so what would I know?

All this talk of WW makes me wonder where this country of ours is at. We are being invaded by illegals ( with the aid of🐸 our friends😂) we are in deep 💩 and we worry about whether or not a whistle upsets somebody and need to make it illegal.
I sat outside a hospital in Bedford this week after delivering somebody there. I was gobsmacked to say the least, 90 per cent of the women around or passing me from young girls to middle aged were F ing and C ing worse than any squaddie or navvy I have ever heard.
I find a woman using bad language very offensive and sickening but I suppose that's what they want with their full rights to be the same as men. Thank God I don't have to hear it daily and I still have old fashioned standards.

You my friend must have had a death wish.😂

I knew it was all over when the inlaws came to stay, they gave my children copies of Mr Fantastic Fox, & I woke up with a horses head in the bed. Used to call my wife "Dear", she had these antlers coming out of her head. Divorcing a Scicilian is never going to be enjoyable, but gnaw is a lifetime of Pasta.

Hmm. I confess to coming from a generation where the WW was rarely ignored and usually always greeted with a smile - so call me a dinosaur. Mind you we also used expressions in the street like:-
“Hey dreamboat” and when the girl looked round we then shouted “ not you shipwreck”;
”I suppose your sister got the good looks then?” and at a dance
”for a big girl you really don’t sweat much”.
Not saying they were right or even clever - just part of Halcyon days, gone forever……..

it would be interesting to see the age groups of people for and against?
if women feel uncomfortable with being ww's at should we even think we should carry on doing it?
i worked in construction in the early 2000's and never really saw it.
last year whilst working on a scaffold, the scaffolds sounded like deranged baboons howling at any women that passed. it was shocking, local scaffold company that i would never advise any one to use!
somethings i think are best left in the past

I had a talking too a couple of years ago at work about an issue that utterly snowballed.... As i went through the doors into reception i looked back and noticed a "Colleague" some way behind but having been brought up rather than dragged up i held the door open.... Here's lies my apparent mistake! It was a female member of staff that took acceptation to a male holding a door open, yes she got the hump over it! She made a massive deal in the doorway about male sexists etc, I was in utter shock and surprise at such a torrent... I said I would have done exactly the same if it were a male making there way to the door etc. my parting shot was next time I see you coming I'll slam the door shut! Q the email from HR and further online diversity training for me!!!

Absolutely ridiculous - the feminazi needs to get a grip…I can’t stand that sort of bullcr*p….I know of a woman who refuses to let her little girl wear princess dresses as she thinks it’s sexist and demeaning. 🙄
