Nice . I've seen a few just like it over the years . They are belgian made and were marketed under other names , Lefauxcheux for example . While far from common , they do turn up from time to time . They are considered a non firearm here , it might not be the case where you are though . Either way , an interesting piece of history .

Kipling in "The Light That Failed" tells of his hero and heroine fearing that the goat will explode as it has eaten a quantity of pinfire revolver cartridges. I haven't read that book for fifty plus years. And wouldn't care to again. It was deadly dull to an eleven year old. But here's a link to the fearful episode. Although I doubt they do when fired carry "half a mile"! LOL!

Interesting find. I wonder it's what its history is? Probably never know. A good boiling should removed some of the rust and discolouration, I should think?

Definitely worth a few bob in the right auction. Condition is obviously an issue to a degree and I'd say those aren't the original grips, both of which will have a bearing on price.

I think all pinfires are obsolete calibres in the UK so it doesn't need a ticket unless you intend to fire it. Haven't got a scooby about the position in the ROI, but wherever you are it'll be worth checking to ensure you stay the right side of the law rather than rely on folk on here.

I think the pistol must have come in differing grades , google throws up lots of variants including ones exactly the same as this particular one !
Ill know more tomorrow re the legalities of sale etc once i have spoken with dibble about it.
