I have three, 243 rifles. Too many in fact. So I have decided to auction off my 243 BRNO Stutzen rifle, with mounts and rings, a variable scope x40 objective, and with a sling. The rifle has a few small scratches on it, but nothing major. It has a set trigger and a metal box mag. I would guess its fired less than 100 rounds.

I do not want the money, so would rather the funds go straight to the Cancer appeal. My mother lost her partner some 2 years, back and I also now have a very dear friend fighting his corner with it too. Therefore I would like to make some money for the appeal.

I will leave this post up to the end of the month. Whoever takes the rifle, will need to collect in person, and send proof of identity and space on their FAC with their name, address and phone number, before coming down to collect. There is no way it is going to happen any other way. You can PM me or put it up on this thread.

The payment once the bidding is over will be paid direct to the appeal by the highest bidder, and proof of sending the payment will need to be provided to me.
Thank you
Malc

Photos above. The scope is a Burris fullfield variable illuminated reticle.

Edit
----
Not sure why this got moved into classifieds firearms, but I have put it back in off Topic where it can be seen more easily. Its lost in classifieds.

You will see from post on this section that I am giving away a 243 stutzen rifle with a Burris scope for Child Cancer appeal. There have been some members bidding already, and currently the bid is £250. The rifle is worth a little more than this, and I am keeping this offer up until the end of August 2021.

The money raised is for a very worthy cause and some kind members have already offered money without the need for the rifle. Please see again the details of where to send your donation. No matter how small, it all helps.

Children with Cancer U.K.
Account number: 56027281
Sort: 50-41-06
Please quote reference number 1003093353.
This way they will know it is through this site.

Come on guys dig deep for a pound or two, or bid for the rifle and scope. Pictures of the rifle are on the post on this section. But if anyone wants to ask questions please feel free to PM me.

Thank you
Malcolm

Lovely gesture.👍
Lost my brother 20 years ago to cancer and now sadly my dad has just been diagnosed.

That word 'Stutzen' just draws me in let alone for a good cause - so I'll start off with £100 leaving more in the pot once photos are uploaded

Nice one Malc, is this thread a bidding thread? Would like to see pictures, but either way I’ll up the bid to £250

Yes its a bidding thread. I dont use the rifle, and have 3, 243 rifles in my cabinet at present. I will try and put up some photos when I get a moment. There is nothing wrong with the rifle at all. It has a couple of marks on the wood work, but it has honestly had no more than 100 rounds through it. In fact I cant remember the last time I used it.
I bought it brand spanking new at the CLA game fair, about 10 years back now. The scope is new as well, and is illuminated reticle, and variable.

All I want is to send some money to the Cancer appeal. Like I said I have a close friend who is fighting hard at the moment.

Splendid Gesture indeed!
Although i don’t need this cal nor shoot deer!
I’ll happily chip in £100 towards this Funds pot.hopefully it’ll grow much more.
Just let me know how and when to send funds
Thanks

I am happy not to bid for the rifle.

However, having lost both parents and other family members to cancer, I am more than happy to put £50 to the charity.

Perhaps, Malc, you could donate 1 round of .243 to me (possibly if/when we meet up at some point and I can use it to take a deer).

Hi sikamalc, i have space on my cert and need a good reason to get a 243, where are you based pls? and would like to see some pix when you have time
cheers
Ade
Just to add my father had prostrate cancer which got him in the end.

Very generous and I don’t need the calibre but will happily donate £50.00 to a worthwhile cause very close to me personally but most people I would have thought

Like many others on here, I have been a cancer patient and experienced the awesome care and support provided by the dedicated NHS teams throughout my treatment.

This is a fantastic gesture, I don’t need a .243 but will also top up the final bid by £50 if Malc sends me the payee details.

Willowbank.

I am based in Kent, near Hythe. However I stalk all over the UK and have major areas in Bedfordshire and West Sussex. So it might be possible to pick it up from one of these places?
I will try and get some photos loaded up tomorrow. Try being the operative word, as I am not an IT expert :-|:)
