Thanks Si , the moderators , WHAT CAN I SAY ?? Too actually allow this thread too go on . I thought this site was for DEER STALKERS , our sport is already in the Public view due too the incident in Cumbria etc , so i think views and comments like these are more apt for political sites NOT HERE . I know alot of decent people on here , sadly left a very bad taste in my mouth now , and i will be leaving . Being British is not about RELIGION , COLOUR , CREED ETC , its about action . Thousands of MUSLIMS , SIKH,S , HINDU,S , GHURKAHS , fought for this GREAT NATION , FIRST AND SECOND WORLD WARS , AND DIED FOR IT !!!! HAVE WE ALL FORGOT THAT ????

The 100's of young Brits dying with smuggled in dirty heroin, people jumping form 80 floor windows to eacape fire, trains been blown apart or double decker busses been shredded or the brave soldiers 100's of miles away to keep our shores free of this cr@p . As far as I can tell this post was about extremists......not muslims per se.
Having travelled throughout most of bangladesh/pakistan/india/UAE/turkey (yes india does have some area's that are predominantly mulim) and having many friends that are muslim I feel the distinction between the two is important.
I have a genuine concern, as a british christian, that I am becoming marginalised in the country of my birth. Integration is fine, IF people integrate.

It is not immediately apparent why this would be the best forum for those concerns to be explored.

Given the fact that it has been illustrated abundantly on this thread that a fair few are seemingly unable to tell the difference between an ordinary guy and a terrorist, it seems to me that the best way to not have the beleaguered group known as UK shooters painted as racists as well as evil bunny murderers would be to allow a series of semi-literate debates on the subject on the front page.

There are many,many political forums on the web, why not use them?

Theres a few things people are missing about the British you'll remember the old saying the sun never sets on the empire ,oh yes that one ,the very reason, was, Britain walked over every country out there to have what it had ,oh yes, MMMMM it was called ethnic cleansing ,Great Britain got the Great from that, there were many countries that learned from the british way.

Now when there was a couple of planes flew into a buildings Britain being an Allie of the powerful US of A, we had to join in with a coalition of some 29 countries , what we as a nation forget during the second world war was we had to PAY the USA to help us that was only paid back in 2006.

Closer to home Northern Ireland 38 years of oppression for what !!! Military killed 763 Injured 6100 Civilian killed 1854 ,where did they get there cash from ? Until the first bomb went off in USA then the cash dried up as did the support .

GH, the validity of any concerns I have isnt in question, thats just a personal opinion whether right or wrong.
I choose not to visit political forums as its my experience that the number of integrated, literate, educated people in attendance is minimal.
Personally I enjoy the company of educated people whether they be Muslim, Buddhist, Seik, Martian whatever, matters not one jot to me.
Politics, religion, shooting.....all subjects bound to prove contentious when discussed in an open forum. If every subject that wasnt stalking related was locked on this site it would be poorer for it.

Yes quite, but I suspect you over-estimate the quality of the input you would receive if fair sampling has already been commited to electrons on this thread.

As you note, discussion of politics on the internet seems to attract the lowest common denominator almost invariably.

But coming from an entire family of forces men i am infuriated at your childish attitude..

This site has nearly 5000 members and if you are telling me you want to spit your dummy out over a few members comments and leave the leading site on deer stalking throwing the towel in and denying yourself the opportunity to further your knowledge and circle of friends sharing the same passion as yourself then i say have a sleepon it mate and hopefully well see you on here in the morning......

First off, I started the post so I think I should be the one that has the closing chapter......Maybe (ish)

I started the thread because I am seriously offended that any member of any religious group should be placed on a higher level (with regards to the law) than the rest of the UK population. I do like the idea that certain religious groups should be treated as such. After all how many areas in the UK are there, that members of the ordinary public together with Law enforcement and emergency services are frightened to go in, for fear of reprisals by religious minority groups ?

This is what is happening with a small minority of the muslim community and I firmly believe that this is wrong. Every citizen should be free to go anywhere they like and do what they like (within the confines of the law) without fear of physical or mental abuse. Black, white, yellow…..gay or lesbian and also muslims who do NOT wish to wear the physical trappings of religion.

First off I will (with a great big nail) post my colours to the mast............I am a 100% Christian (not a deeply religious sort really) I don’t go to church or preach to others or try to convert others to my chosen religion. (By the way I also embrace parts of other religions such as Buddhism and Confucianism)
This is my freedom of choice and I am very happy with the way things are. I am at peace with my chosen God.

Note the above sentence please “freedom of choice”. I will never ever be dictated to by any other man, woman or any minority religious fundamentalist group. I am not frightened of speaking my mind and expressing my opinions whenever or wherever I choose. That is what the laws of the UK give me…..freedom of choice.

I am not preaching violence to others (race, creed, colour etc) or any other method of controlling others by force. I also have many friends who come from many countries and many religions, however, these friends certainly cannot be misconstrued as religious fundamentalists by any nature. They want what we all want at the end of the day 'freedom of choice' and 'equality for all'.

There appears to be a few on here who show real signs of fear to speak out and openly state their opinions. Others, who think that they can shout and yell (in big bold type) to be heard over the madding crowd. As for the SD forum not being the place to air such a thread ? Well I say that there are many posts on here that don’t meet the ‘Stalking” criteria. Do the moderators delete all such ‘non stalking’ posts ? NO! Why ? Because they believe in freedom of expression and said 'freedom of choice' as long as it is not misconstrued as being of a disruptive nature to the forum as a whole. That is what a forum is for isn't it ? Using a 'nom de guerre' and indulging yourself in open debate without fear of reprisal !. If you don't like the thread and don't want to get involved then simply do not post. Simple !

The slow insidious march of religious fundamentalism, whether muslim or not, is wrong….100% (My belief and the freedom to express myself). How would you feel if, in 20-30 years time your daughter is forced to wear the hijab or any other religious trapping ?

One of my main teachings as a Christian, is that of ‘tolerance’. I am more than happy to 'tolerate' other religious groups and cultures but firmly draw the ‘line in the sand’ when they dictate to me that I must follow their religious dictates. Surely that is why we send serviceman to war zones all over the world ? To fight in the pursuit of democracy and the freedom of speech and action that we all desire ?

That Gentlemen, is what I aspire to……….simply freedom of choice and democracy for all without fear of reprisal.

Real signs of fear to speak out - Shuuuutuup

Rockingod as a firearms certificate holder and with OB watching the site and numerous others use a bit of common as it would be ridiculous for some site members to truly express how they may feel in the detail they may wish to express it.. This is a stalking site and there are many thousands of other sites catering for all who wish to share an opinion however guided with like minded people...

What i truly feel is freely aired where i want it to be and to whome i want it to be and as an ex-forces man i wonder if you have ever had to show true fear in your life?

I couldnt give a rats arse wether anybody elses feelings replicate mine or not as they are mine alone..

As this site is so big and getting bigger maybe it does need to have a section where all members can debate things from what to feed their six foot Bulgarian Rat Snakes to what colour panties Pippa Middleton might be wearing today.... I hope not
