Hi,

I’m in the market for a thermal around the £2k mark. What’s the difference between the Pulsar Axion XQ38 and Helion 2 XQ38f? Is the helion 2 worth the extra money?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

I ve just bought the axion xq38 and I'm well impressed. Not sure how much better the Helion would be for the extra 💸 but I can see Deer at 1 km easily and bats at night albeit a bit closer. Squirrels are easy to spot too .bought from mc clouds btw...

I had a word with a few who have said forget any axion and go with helion 2 xq38
So in a dilemma again . I looked at a YouTube review and what they are saying at the end of vid if you use thermal every day then go for helion 2 xq38 , if a couple of nights a week then axion xq 38

I have had a Helion 2 xq38f for three weeks now and taken it out pretty much each night since. It’s very impressive, but also the only thermal I’ve looked through at night and in the field… I had read that the axion xq38lrf suffered from grainy image issues, does anybody know if this is actually the case?

I really love the helion but wish I could’ve taken both it and the axion lrf for a nighttime test run side by side. The helion is quite large and not easy to put away in your jacket, etc
