Raw dog food……where do you get yours?

I have been feeding some of the Natures Menu raw puppy food and seeing good results.

I can get it easily locally at £4.70/KG but I am interested to see if there are any better options available.

Anyone got any raw food supplier recommendations ?

We use minces from Just Natural.
Tne there are other items like Chicken / Duck Wings, necks, feet, Rabbits heads, various rib bones.
Plus any Roe rib bones and minced meat.

We use Able, online with a subscription. Tried a few different ones, the problem with our dog is that feeding him poultry gives him the most eye watering, stomach churning farts, so we're stuck with beef / lamb which is that bit more expensive.

I've tried Browns pet range which I thought was good and the cheapest at about 3.99/kg for beef, but they kept messing our orders up and often out of stock of things other than poultry (see above), nature's menu which when defrosted seemed like a weird mousse. Also unfortunately our butcher has cottoned on to the petfood market and mince all their trimmings for such, at about £3 per kilo for chicken, and about £4 for tripe/ox heart, but they never seem to have much of this so not a reliable supply

Natural Instinct is by far the best we've tried so far. @VSS we find the formulations have added vegetables, oils, minerals, etc that a pure meat diet lacks. They also supply in handy 1kg tubs, and offer a variety of flavours such as tripe, chicken, beef, lamb, duck, turkey, etc. Portion control is a snip, it's a consistent diet, and they absolutely thrive on it :thumb:

I reckon whole rabbits, guts in, fur on, are the most complete and consistent diet you can possibly get for dogs, and in handy sized portions too! For years I fed my dogs nothing but, and they've never been so healthy before or since. Shame myxi put paid to that. A pure meat diet is no good. Some vegetables are needed too. Gut content provides that.

Not always practical or feasibile though, right as you are

Thanks for all the suggestions, I have ordered a couple of the puppy starter packs from Nutriment and we will see how they go.
