Officially the best knife for stalking that money can buy.

Honestly it matters not as long as sharp, we all have our favourite flavours.

I can butcher a deer with a stanley knife, sometimes knowledge is better that tools

mozzies never let you forget your a free meal
i grassed 2 Roe in scotland on wee bit of damp ground gralloched em on the turn of the light
bloody hell they were up my nose, ears and i was eating em as well, my poor old dog was bitten to bits big time - i can still taste them now
moral of the story - shoot the deer then move it to gralloch in a better place, you probably won’t leave yer knife behind them either
And preferably suspended??

I thought Emberleaf were TSD’s favourite and world’s finest maker of deerstalking knives or have their eye-popping scales lost some of the sheen that propelled these non-tapered tang blades to the top of the Must-Have kit list?

They also do a "rabbit" knife which ia a similar profile but shorter blade. I think @willie_gunn recommended them in a similar thread to this. I bought two and they are fantastic.

I did.

They are.

Mine happily managed a munty buck and a fallow buck within 45 minutes of each other last Saturday. A quick swipe over a ceramic rod back in the kitchen afterwards and it’s ready for the next outing.

Well worth £11.50 of anyone’s money.

Just waiting for someone to mention H&S and it must be dishwasher proof, along with what’s recommended in DSC1 the bible for idiots.
Never ever wash my knives in a dishwasher. I was told it takes the edge off.

Mine's done several muntjac, roe bucks and a couple of red stags since I bought it. Couldn't say how many sharpens as I don't keep a diary but I shot two spikers together and sorted them with it without a sharpen inbetween.

I find muntjac bucks are the worst for blunting any knife where roe cut like butter.

You’re showing your age now Fred…… how are Wilma and the kids doing?
I was ok but found out the sacked curator of Chelmsford museum might have miss paced my Paleolithic flint hand axe I left for display with a large number of other missing items... :(

But like my coats I have enough knives know. :tiphat:

What is a dish washer...

The area abt 1/3 around the rump on a muntjac is a very tough point as if you don't tease that part and try to pull it will tear that muscle

Don’t worry tim, it comes under the same category as hoover/mop/duster etc. One day you might discover them but not sure quite when….. 🤗
