South Wiltshire. First heard a vixen calling last week, but nothing else this week. Got 2 dog foxes come to a vixen mating call last night though. Not really hot, more inquisitive.
They're not inquisitive any more.

North East Powys : nothing much falling, heard a dog fox barking on Sunday night….shot a vixen which came to a vixen call two weeks ago…… shot two on Monday night ( dog and vixen two fields apart) the fog has halted proceedings tonight….

I’ll give the vixen call a go tomorrow night, just wish there was a better choice of calls for the fox pro ( I’ve got one of the more basic ones- the calls all seem to be the same crap mp3 files from ten years ago)

Nearly every one the same here, I think out of 40+ I’ve had 2 vixens

On way back home with the dogs this morning, two fox barking in the distance, 05:50, within a set of six barks from each they closed with each other.

Calling like mad south London this week as I'm on nights our yard foxes very active

Yup I’m SE London and they are on one round here calling late afternoon sometimes and through the night .

Lots of dog fox 3 yaps being heard on our place in Somerset. Nothing coming to the vixen or dog caller but if i spot one on the thermal the Faulhaber Hen Caller has been lethal and out to much further ranges than I expected, I highly recommend that little caller.

I keep getting them coming in the the mating call but still haven’t heard a yap this winter and I’m out 2 or 3 nights a week! Perhaps I need to clean my ears out

Still not heard them on my permissions, but the caller set to 'Vixen Mating Call' did the job for a ruddy-great dog fox last night He ran in and then and stood stock-still, broadside on to us at no more than 80yds, staring at the caller. BIG mistake !

I was running the vixen call last night when a fox came and sat about 150 yards behind us, watching what was going on. It turned out to be a big vixen - she was clearly wondering who the slut was who was trespassing on her territory. She needn't fret about it any more though...

I saw a pair of foxes mating this morning 14-1-22 .Cant say I have seen them this late before.
