For Sale: PULSAR DIGEX C50 - FULL COLOUR HD - IN STOCK !!

That’s fair comment.
However as I don’t bang my rifles about I’m not too worried about supreme build quality.
It’s just got to do what it’s meant to.
So assuming both have an aftermarket ir used, is the C50 that much better than the Wulf?
That’s what I’m asking.
Whats it meant to do?

Will the C50 gather more IR at distance than a Wulf.... Yes
Is the overall design the best in class, build, software, function (HD recording/sound interlaced , fully scaled in/out PIP reticules, fast processor, S2 unit control and cloud, eye relief, etc).... Yes
Daytime image of a 4K sensor is nice for sure.... BUT not if the display is cheap and tiny, a decent display is needed, some for me are unusable.... as mentioned night time image is good but requires lots of IR to function.

What is it you actually desire, ali express and alibaba is littered with 1080p and 4k units at cheap prices, you could spend £300 on a 1080P add on and shoot foxes out to 300-350 yards with a VCSEL, same as you can buy for instance a Great Wall Steed vs a Toyota Hilux, they both get you from A to B , but which would you rather own ? Quality, design and durability comes at a cost...

Can you recommend me an aftermarket IR for the C50 Ian?

The real world ability to use at up to 300m range.
I have Pards, and a Wulf.
Happy with both but at night, with an Excalibur IR, for my eyes the Wulf is a slightly better image (and I prefer the traditional mounting system too, the same as the c50 has).
So I’m trying to understand whether the C50 is actually £200-300 better in real world night use compared to the Wulf.
With respect to software etc etc, the Wulf is ok by me.
Cheers

Anything LED or VSCEL based, numerous sellers now all over the internet..

Both adjustable

If you already have a Wulf and your not bothered about the design and function benefits of a C50 then I would not outlay more cash if your happy with it..... you will shoot no more with either one..

Ok thank you for the straight answer, I appreciate it.
For my use, I was trying to understand if the C50 was that much better (I do actually quite like the look of the C50).
Cheers

It might possibly be no better image or worse than the ATN, Wraith 4K, Wulf during daytime use, but the design, etc is better allround ... It's also designed as an NV scope, Pulsar could easy put a 4K sensor in these units have no doubt whatsoever about that, there's a reason they don't and that's the tiny pixels just don't gather enough light to make them usable at range without VCSEL or Diode illumination which they do not use at all.... The C50 will perform better with minimal IR in comparison to the 4K models it also has a SUM light feature which I don't personally use, this is for low/zero IR night time use to allow totally covert use up close.

So its hard to compare any of the scopes apples for apples.. as they all have some strong and weak points..

Even with the low-ish base mag, the PIP looks real handy for shot placement, if these perform at distance for fox I can see them being a winner. Wonder if they will stick the same internals in an LRF Digisight now? This is everything they should have been.👍
I was able to leave my base mag on 3.5 and use the pip on 7x but u can adjust the pip upto 14x
I have 1 on my hmr so I'll be shooting foxes with it probably on 7x mag and 14x pip should be good

First impressions, excellent, a very, very capable scope. Usual Pulsar top end build quality combined with extremely slick software. Neat touch on the zeroing sequence with click values for the current magnification indicated.
I zeroed using b+w daytime mode, superb contrast and so clear.

The supplied ir is excellent, more than adequate for my requirements, sits nice and tight to the scope too.

The previous Digex didn’t quite meet my needs, the C50 is in a different league……. it even connected to SV2 first try
