Police Car making you nervous?

Maybe because unless you call for their help so probably onside, their nearly always looking to find fault and do their job. Sigmund would no doubt tell us though, we’re all guilty of something.
 
Sod’s law ! When in an unfamiliar area last year I somehow managed to exit a service station and found myself going the wrong way round a large roundabout !! Much to my daughters horror. Of all the vehicles on the road you can guess what was coming towards me. A police van. They put their Blue lights on and held traffic behind allowing me to do an Austin Powers and go on my way. No stop, no breath test . Cops are human too. Good lads and lasses !

It was not uncommon for some "Black Rats" to place these stickers on the backs of their private vehicles.

I cannot wonder why they did this, or what is was they hoped to achieve...🤥

Ahh the good old Get out of jail sticker ! add another rear view mirror and they would even tip you a wink and a wave :tiphat: :rofl: :rofl:
 
Several years ago I was invited to a pheasant shoot in Denmark by the keeper of a shoot where I worked my Spaniels. We drove down in his works Ford ranger. The truck was covered,and I mean coverd in mud plus it had a home made wheat spreader that hung about a foot out the side of the vehicle. The journey was about 2 hour travelling over the bridge. Throughout the journey I though we would get pulled by the police. Even at the border the police and customs never turned an eye. The inside of the cab was as bad as the outside.

Was it perhaps because you were on your encrypted mobile app to a mysterious but notorious drugs baron, confirming that you had indeed received the shipment from the cartel representatives and you were on the way to deliver it to the next link in the chain, having hidden the packages from any drugs dogs by cunningly burying them in 4 containers of smelly feed?

Or was it because on 20th May 2020 you met up with one other person outside but for 10 seconds they were only 1.5 metres away, rather than the required 2 metres? And it has been preying on your conscience ever since?

I do find a few ex police who are arrogant know alls, for some reason. And I’ve met a few in court who are a disgrace to their professional colleagues.
 
Maybe it's because of where I live , but police don't make me nervous , I know most of the RCMP around here . I did get pulled over a few years back . I was heading east on a small secondary highway , he was heading west . I was exceeding the speed limit , but not by an excessive amount . As we passed , I saw his head snap up as I went by . He hit the lights , did a U turn and came after me . I duly pulled over and got out my insurance , registration and license . Great , I thought , I'm going to get a ticket for dong 10 klms over the limit . When he got to my window , he said Hi , you're Steve aren't you ? I said yes . It turns out , I'd fixed his Staff Sargeants rifle a while before and had seen me with him at some point . He wanted me to have a look at his rifle as it was throwing shots all over the place ( the stock had split behind the recoil lug ) At that point I did start laughing . Long story short , I fixed his rifle , it was his Dads originally , and he went away happy . I did make the mistake of telling the Staff Sargeant , who is a very old friend of mine ......... he didn't think it was funny . Fortunately , I convinced him to put it down to youthful enthusiasm and not say anything to the young man . I still chuckle over that one . Sorry for the ramble , but I guess we live in different places .

You just described most of the vehicles around here lol . Washing your truck in - 30 C isn't a good idea .

All of my very few encounters with the RCMP when I lived in Ontario were rather polite and decent, I did learn to not give them free coffee ( posted outside the US Embassy. Tim Hortons could not keep up with consumption.
