If you really don’t care about the returns then auction is easy to do, still time consuming, you will need to sign them over to the auction house, and still do the police notification.
They will ask/discuss reserves/values and suggest how to lot things up.
Most auction houses now also do online bidding, and would reach a far wider audience than on here, you may get a good price IF you have a couple of buyers want it, but most likely it’s often dealers buying and they want cheap as have to pay fees, handling, and still make a profit.
Then you have your sales fees to pay, it could be quite painful but fairly easy.
The thing it saves is working out a price, adverts, dealing with endless offers and questions, multiple postage or arranging collections.
I can see why you want to go the way your thinking, personally I would put all licensed items into an Rfd on commission sale, then list everything else and a price you would like, take a% off the total, offer as a job lot on forums without the option to split,
I’ve bought a few job lots like that and just moved on the bits I wasn’t interested in.
