22.250 and copper bullets

I use copper bullets in my 220 Swift - my favourite deer rifle. Barnes 50gr TTSX with the plastic tips removed so that they stabilise in the 1:14" twist barrel. Excellent results up to about 230m so far.
For deer or fox/vermin?

Whats the removal of the plastic tip doing to the weight or is it negligible?
More for the length and stability I would guess....
Aye, makes sense but I was thinking taking the plastic tip off a 50gr bullet might knock it below the 50gr minimum bullet weight for Roe.
can i ask what make is your hornet and twist rate ? these bullets strike sideways from my CZ 22 hornet at 50 yards i cant get them on a4 paper ( the rifle is a tack driver with all other bullets )

we have 50gr Fox in factory ammo form that works in 1:14" .222 and .22-250 rifles
it is tipless as it reduces the length enough to stabilise

negligible I'd say (I keep well clear of bureaucracy for good measure).

60gr soft point flat base spitter will stabilise in a 1:14” but a 52gr btbt won’t

I have just worked up a 51gn VLR4 Peregrine Load for 1 in 12" 223. Well below the 1" at 100m and have taken a couple of yearling Roe Bucks with it. It does like velocity - initial starting loads were a bit bigger.
Plastic tips are minimal in weight - 0.2gn or so. If you are using 50gn bullets, by the law of probability 50% will be less than 50.00gn in any case.
