DSC1- Jon Snowden. DSC2?

Just a quick post re my DSC1 I've undertaken at Greenlee Deer Management with Jon Snowden.

Obviously I'm not sure if I've passed yet (other than shooting), although I cannot recommend Jon Snowden enough, what a nice and incredibly knowledgeable guy! Done my pre DSC, and DSC1 with him, would absolutely go back!

Just thinking about longer term plans, after I've built up more experience, is it worth doing DSC2? I know opinions will vary, so keen to see what people think

Well if you fail you can...

... is it worth doing DSC2? ...
Of course it is.

Even if it is the 'reduced' version...

The completion of my DSCII gave me the greatest feeling of achievement in a long life of continuous professional study.

Being now old, and having chopped and changed careers, I have accidentally accumulated four degrees.

None gave me the sense of achievement than that Deer qualification.

Fast forward a decade or so, Deer Management and BDS Bronze, Silver and Gold (🥉🥈🥇) all safely squared away, I still consider myself very much an amateur stalker, and I learn something new every time I go out, but I have always enjoyed the 'formal' learning courses offered by "reputable' companies.

You are young, and you are just starting out on a lifetime journey of learning.

You will never arrive at the destination, (no one ever does) so enjoy every minute of the ride.

Good afternoon i always said id walk before i ran. Id only been stalking for 3 years. Done my dsc1 2 years ago if you already have alot of experience. Then there's no reason you cant do it straight away. But for me when ive had plenty of deer on the deck and dealt with them. Only then would i do my dsc2.
