7x75

Had one of those; did the job just as well.

In a shorter action, and probably at a lower price than what a 7x57 will be :thumb:

I love Remington for all their faults, they were big proponents of 7mm, bringing out 7mm Rem Mag, 280 Remington/Express and of course making the 7mm08 Wilcat a standardised case.

My 7mm Rem Mag Sendero and 7mm08 Model 7 are my current favourite rifles, one for long, one for short!

I’m a big advocate of Remington 700/7’s having had many and any custom barreled jobs I have are on older 700 actions . I hunted two or three seasons with a factory stainless fluted Sendero in 7mm Rem Mag , that gun was easily .4 MOA for three shots at 100 yards with handloaded Nosler 150 BT’s . Only downfall was how heavy the darn thing was , I had a Leupold Vari XIII 4.5-14AO on top . That was a great scope from when they first brought the 4.5-14 out and way before the change to VX3 designation .

My Model 7 KS 7mm08 wears a Leupold Mk4 3.5-10x40, great fan of that scope and rifle combo.

Shame neither are made anymore!

Years ago I read “Maneaters of Kumaon” followed later in my reading by W.DM. Bells books. I aspired to owning one some day but that caliber is as scarce as hens teeth in this part of the world.
A number of years ago I acquired a Proctor 7x57.
This was followed 4 years ago by a Rigby 275. I can’t fault the caliber. Lovely rifles to shoot.
