Only the stuff already mentioned, which was proven to be true and no right to shoot the ground advertised. The reason said syndicate manager was banned.I should have said any up to date or recent proof of false advertising.
Fact. A shoot I used to run was on sporting.sh He had no permission for it !Problem with the shooting.sh set up was that some of the ground they advertised was in fact ground they had nothing to do with whatsoever.
To the OP- the advice you have been given to run away is sound.
So the present system of contacting the farmer first would soon iron out any of these problems.Fact. A shoot I used to run was on sporting.sh He had no permission for it !
Yours wasn't the only shoot advertised by shooting.sh which they had never had any permission for. It was run by a person of let's say questionable virtue who associated with at least one con artist whom I know to have a court judgement against him for subletting ground he had no right to.Fact. A shoot I used to run was on sporting.sh He had no permission for it !
Wouldn't not advertising ground that no permission is held for be a better way of ironing out problems by not creating them in the first place? So the present system of contacting the farmer first would soon iron out any of these problems.
I agree but if it is advertised and the prospective stalker uses the system of contacting the farmer first it would/should soon be taken down - I would hope.Wouldn't not advertising ground that no permission is held for be a better way of ironing out problems by not creating them in the first place?
Great approach to deer management that is, shoot them if and when they cross the land. And people say fallow are poorly managed. So the way it is run now should prevent any such misunderstanding in the future.
I must admit some time ago some members did take the proverbial by not using the booking system and as a result I have turned up as others were leaving or guns already on the ground but under the new system that is never going to happen again.
I am quite happy being a member as some of the ground in Dorset is near friends of mine and quite easy to access for me.
It is a dairy farm with no woodland but Roe have been known to cross, so sometimes I am lucky and most times not but I still enjoy the open air and scenery always with the hope of seeing something.
That's the only way to keep the numbers down and put venison on the tableGreat approach to deer management that is, shoot them if and when they cross the land. And people say fallow are poorly managed.
Not if the proposed stalker contacts the land owner first to make sure it is clear to go, no dung spreading, ploughing or mowing etc. and is a member of the said syndicate. Its also the easiest way to end up loosing your FAC. Armed trespass.
All of these so called clubs seem to be run by someone who makes it all up as they go along.
EMCC said they way its run now. Hmm it was only a couple of months or so back that someone was still advertising ground on their website that was not even theirs to be on. Nice if some poor soul ends up with loosing their money and then finds themselves on a piece of ground one morning and is done for armed trespass.
My advise would be to look for a nice Country Home within the M25 belt, a property with say 7 to 8+ Acres of parkland - many have 12-15 or oven up to 20 Acres. They are likely to have a Muntjac 'problem' and there may be some Roe and even the odd Fallow as well. Providing safe shooting is possible (this depends on topography etc.) there are excellent and exiting opportunities for Stalkers who focus on the smaller Country Estates/Country Homes. These opportunities are often overlooked by Stalkers, who at the beginning of their journey into Stalking often are hoping for a 500 +Acres woodland with 4 deer species. That is not going to happen....(sorry!) unless you have very deep pockets. Best of luck.Being in London, I'm looking to join a syndicate with various options for stalking across the South West and further afield. Can any recommend A1decoy or shooting.sh (Bob Glynn)?
Both seem reasonably priced and fairly straight forward with outings refunded etc.
I've done my DSC1 and several paid stalks and now looking to do a bit more...
And thoughts and feedback on the above would be much appreciated!
Eddy, that's the issue. WHY would you need to contact the landowner if you already have the so called permission off the syndicate. Not told you have permission, then turn up and find out you have committed armed trespass. Not if the proposed stalker contacts the land owner first to make sure it is clear to go, no dung spreading, ploughing or mowing etc. and is a member of the said syndicate.
I can only vouch for the ones within my local area, most of whom I know personally.
I joined last month based on the leased land that was advertised, soon as I booked a date the land vanished! Asked to cancel after 3 days and within the 14 day cooling off period, every reply has been different and not 1 addressed my cancellation, but did get threatened with court action if I document it so I’m unable to speak about the experience unfortunatelyProblem with the shooting.sh set up was that some of the ground they advertised was in fact ground they had nothing to do with whatsoever.

Also court action! If you have been missold something then it’s you who should be threatening that! Blokes a crook. So you didn’t read this thread then?
