^ HME courses are regular. Every 2 months or so. Next one is on 9 October. You do not need to own a HME rifle to join the course. Ring the NRA, they aren’t listed on the website. Once you do the NRA HME sign off, you can shoot HME at Bisley, following the zero check each time.

+1 to all this: the HME course at Bisley is short (an hour or two), straightforward and, once you have the qualification, the check zero takes under 10 minutes each time: for me, it’s worth it for the benefit of being able to shoot HME at Bisley

My mukka was using home loads but the factory rounds he bought for the brass I believe were hornady Match

Just purchased some factory ammo for my 264 from an auction 100grn 3700fps I like my new barrel very much, so I am going to pull out the bullets and powder and reload with 156, my barrel will be much happier.

Taking the factory loaded 147gr projectile at a quoted 2910fps gives 3748J muzzle energy, well within the 4500J HME stipulation.

^ Confirm, 6.5PRC is well under. I've seen several people use a 6.5PRC in front of a range officer at Bisley without them saying anything.
