Herefordshire Boar

As the title, has anyone seen or heard of any boad having crossed the Wye?

I’d heard of reports a year or 2 ago that they had been reported as trying to cross near Monmouth, now I’ve seen this on a community group on Facebook.
Wondering if during the drought some managed to get across, I’ve asked for videos/photos

Plenty of Boar on the Hereford side of the river. A group were filmed on the outskirts of Hereford earlier in the year.
Cheers,
I’ve since had some messages from people who have seen the post and know where they are now, multiple locals have seen them, had no idea they were that close to Hereford now!

I heard of one getting shot not far from the tip in Hereford last year. They are certainly making their way over. As soon as they get into Haugh Woods & the surrounding area it’ll get interesting.
Yeah, if they get into Haugh, Mordiford and Checkley they will have a strong foothold

Nothing to do with the drought, boar are good swimmers and crossed the Wye long ago.

The FOD boys will probably put me right on this if I'm wrong. But I think I read on here a few years ago that the FC have a larder in Itton (Welsh side of the Wye) that receives a few boar so I'm guessing they are shot on that side of the river.

The Wye wont bother them, they are regularly seen swimming across much bigger rivers and lakes in europe. As 8x57 says - proper good swimmers
