I have just enquired regarding purchasing some cci 200 large primers answer was these won't be in stock until mid-next year at the earliest,
so 2 questions what's a like for like variant that is available, and has anyone got any they can spare?

If you are after large rifle primers then I'm afraid you will be very lucky to find any in a shop. Some sold at auction recently for well more than the retail price. As to what primers performs similar - I have used CCI, Federal and Sellier and Bellot for shooting target rifles and have not noticed any difference between them. I would recommend buy what you can when you can

@patrol01 - not sure where in South Yorks you are but I'm between Sheff & Chesterfield and I've got 240 cci large rifle no. 200 and 200 large rifle BR-2 that I don't need if you want to make me a sensible offer.

Federal 210, 210M.

Remington 9 1/2

And the CCi already mentioned.

There will be some differences between them, and the load may need tweaking, but if it's for hunting out to normal distances, any should be fine

F8ck it, at that price I'd drive it to his door Lol! :)
for that price id expect you to drive it to my door in a gorilla suite with a banana shoved up your Jaxi even if I lived in Australia  and only because if you're going to have my pants down I certainly want you to be uncomfortable as well:)

Again this is from Laurie's article(Target Shooter Magazine)on the subject . Hopefully he doesn't mind it being posted .Screenshot_20221110-155911_Chrome.webp
