Rfd transfer

I've just dropped a gun off at my rfd to sell to a member off here. My question is, on my online form to notify my force, do i say I've transferred to my rfd or the buyer? Cheers

The buyer I think as the RFD is only facilitating the transfer to another RFD.
Just email your force advising of the sale to keep them in the loop.

But the gun is in transit......... bit late to request the buyers licence to be posted to you for you to fill out?
not to late the receiving RFD just holds the firearm until the private buyer sends to the private seller their certificate to be filled in and the seller then sends it back to the buyer who then collects the firearms from the RFD.
The law is that the seller completes the buyers certificate.

No, it's not too late to do this correctly
The buyer sends his FAC to the seller who completes table 1 of the buyers certificate and then sends the certificate back to the buyer.
The receiving RFD holds onto the rifle until the buyer appears with his certificate showing he has authority to acquire and that the seller has correctly completed table 1 of the buyers certificate.
The seller informs his local police of the sale, giving them the details of the buyer (not of either RFD)

Cheers
