Hi all, I know it’s been done to death, but I decided to go for dsc2, I register, I get sent ‘ Onefile’ electronic portfolio fingy !!? No instructions! Jeez , I don’t have a laptop, I can only just use my I phone😬 I have an I pad , what’s a Dropbox, adobe acrobat, pdf, ect it’s doing my head in, I was told it needs upgrading , is there a simpler method? I’m in my 60s Some of you must know and experienced what I’m on about maybe? Hope all this makes sense , cheers

@angel eyes - Pain in the arse even with a laptop and being fairly computer literate.

Thankfully, all you really need to do is the CV then witnessed stalk record and email them to your assessor. Drop your assessor a message, should guide you through it.

Thanks. Yes, I can get on the cv page but the keyboard won’t come up to type it up , I keep pressing buttons see what happens, why can’t it be just like get down n dirty on the witnessed stalk tick the boxes and say yay or nay, shake hands

Definitely would be easier on a laptop .
Local library, Internet cafe etc to carry out the bulk of it maybe ?
I found once the majority of it was filled in it was fairly straight forward to navigate the portfolio
What is you location , I would be more than willing to help you out with the process and issues you have raised.

Night owl thanks, north wales, library’s council run, never open, Internet cafe’s unheard of where I live, 😂 I will plod on, maybe Iv not been patient enough, why can’t things be simple, it’s all passwords, tinternet😂 in the old days if you wanted a date with a girl, ‘ see you next week 7.30 at such a pub or disco’ 😂😂

Your best bet....
Find a friend who has a laptop/pc and is more comfortable with them.
It really will be a pain to do on a phone.

I've just registered too. The onedrive site isn't that intuitive. Takes a bit of playing with to find your way around it.

Yeah stick at it , worth it in the end .
I had to have it on the Laptop my old eyes couldn't see half of it on the phone 🤣

I've registered a while ago too. Now just got to pick a random person from the long line of approved witnesses and get on with it!

It does sound like DMQ aren’t very inclusive when it comes to the less IT literate. Maybe a call to DMQ to see if they will considers your circumstances rather than their obsession with making everything as easy for them as possible.

IMO, Never put Someone who is really good with computers in-charge of system building - Unless they are very closely supervised my a 50 plus person who doesn't really think the same and "uses two hands to operate their mobile" and - Can closely supervise the Nurd !

The portal is not particularly easy to use - prettt sure my stuff never actually ended up on there i just submitted it directly.

Speak to your assesor directly - mine was great to deal with and very helpful
