Garmin Trackers for Teckels

Hi guys. I bought a Garmin K 5x collar a while back now for my Teckel and stupidly bought just the collar without the handset. I’m off to Ireland shortly and in need of a handset but have seen some posts about how they aren’t compatible with uk law and don’t work.

I’m just after a bit of guidance before I rush into buying something else that gathers dust.

Not sure how it wont be compatible as the K5X is the current UK Garmin dog collar, I use one with the Alpha 200 handset and it works spot on and was supplied by a UK Garmin agent.

I think @beneyles was thinking of a T5Mini collar for his Teckel.......

I bought a Garmin Alpha 200i handset and K5 collar last year from chap in Scotland last year (Frank Byrne) it works fine here in Ireland. I think the UK versions work fine in Europe but its the European model frequency that you cant use in UK as it is same/similar to emergency services.

There are a few. Frank Bryne is worth looking up as he always seems to be the cheapest out there and great after sales service.
