I haven't been following it but why should there be a change in legislation when it is clearly a failure of the administering authority? Perhaps a corporate manslaughter charge against the then chief constable of D&C would get licensing departments to sharpen their act up?Has anyone been following this? Been looking at various articles online. It's quite difficult reading. Think things will get stricter afterwards, rightly so.
They already have!Has anyone been following this? Been looking at various articles online. It's quite difficult reading. Think things will get stricter afterwards, rightly so.
Has corporate manslaughter been tried on America? It would certainly make the police pay attention.I haven't been following it but why should there be a change in legislation when it is clearly a failure of the administering authority? Stricter for all regarding medicals and Drs for declared or identified mental issues. Basically where known or found, much more investigation before decisions are made with issuing FAC.Stricter for who?
True, it's a gross failure for sure.I haven't been following it but why should there be a change in legislation when it is clearly a failure of the administering authority? Exactly. So no need for anything to be made stricter. Just stick to existing guidelines.Essentially what should have been done anyway.
I couldn't agree more, but sadly it never seems to be like that. Already down here things have tightened up noticeably. I understand D&C are under investigation internally so understandably they are carrying out everything to the letter of the law, which isn't making an already problematic situation worse.Exactly. So no need for anything to be made stricter. Just stick to existing guidelines.
Well I mean stricter as in more scrutiny with medical records, should not affect most people assuming they have clean bills of physical and mental health.
Agreed it's likely there will be hefty charges for someone senior within the department. Does seem evident there were some big failures with process.

Reading the news articles. Really does highlight a catalogue of errors COVID and an anger management leaflet!
Possibly, but leave doors wide open for civil suits post inquest!A case for corporate manslaughter ?
Not quite sure what physical health has to do with anything, many disabled and unwell people shoot. That is one of the good points about shooting. Agreed, should have worded that better perhaps. I know of many people with disabilities and they shoot well. Apologies if any offence was caused, certainly not intended. Not quite sure what physical health has to do with anything, many disabled and unwell people shoot. They'll mean buckshot surely?Reading the court reports, the uncle said he was using boar shot, whatever that is and he must have bought it online because a gun shop would have queried him buying it. The blind leading the blind.
I feel sorry for the poor FEO who was offered no training and then expected to make the correct decisions
