Cool kid.

Precocious children can be found anywhere but it seems ‘merica has more than it should.
So having watched this why am I recalling what bad folks used to do with unwanted kittens - involving water and a bucket?

It’s a no from me I’m afraid…something vulgar about it…plus she has to keep adjusting grip due to her hands being too small to properly hold the gun.

The old .45 auto and Hardballer made on the 1911 pattern was and are great guns.
However the child is a different matter. There is something chilling about certain precocious American kids. Not all but some - she is one, trying to make a living off Facebook. Hickock 45 gives some useful reviews.

So you think it would be weird for my granddaughter to have a safe bit of shooting with granddad?
And teaching a child safe gun control is wrong in 45acp but I'm guessing it's fine with a BB pistol.
Have I understood you all right?

I think it's more that people feel uncomfortable with a 10 year old being monetised on YT/social media.
I think it's good for kids to be taught safe firearm handling and to feel safe and comfortable with using firearms safely. Definitely need to invest in the next generations.

Arr I see. Ok thanks.
Still a cool kid and she does seem comfortable with it.
I'm just glad she has good parents and is not being asked to do anything harmful.

Most youngsters (myself included and my son started with potato guns, tin can alley, bb/pellet guns, 410’s….but post 10 years old when you can hold the gun up properly…a 45 ACP is a bit much and in my opinion an accident waiting to happen…

Hmmm. My earlier comment (kinda) related to the child rather than her firearm handling.
Sorry to be a bit of a boor but to be honest I thought the child’s gun-handling was very poor. On several occasions she was holding the clearly loaded gun broadside on with the hammer cocked and what is more jumping up on down on the spot whilst holding it sideways - again with the hammer cocked. There was no apparent supervisory check that the gun was empty and safe at anytime (yes I know the slide was back but slides can mysteriously go forward…).
All that said the 1911 is a particularly safe gun generally with one safety comprising a squeeze bar at the rear of the pistol grip and a thumb switch and they are very popular in my part of the UK at club ranges. That said one-handled juggling of a loaded firearm is downright foolish and only lead to problems. I do not think that any club RO would be impressed with either the child or more fundamentally the parent.
Interestingly in the land of the free the safest concealed carrying of a 1911 for self-defence is recommended to be cocked and locked i.e. round in the chamber, hammer cocked and thumb safety on.

Sorry but am struggling with your view of the video, it was highly edited, so the amount of supervisions can only be assumed, as to trying to make a living off Facebook, if she manages to pay for her college fees good on her, making money out of what you enjoy, seems like a great idea to me.

She’s just a wee bit too casual in her handling of that pistola man!
It’s like she’s just necked a couple of cans of “Monster” energy drink and can’t wait to put some holes in something with it.

Well all I noticed was that she does apply the safety when shooting is interupted. We never see the muzzle unintentionally, it's always down range. Finger never on trigger until shooting. Frame is gripped by full hand while talking so grip safety is active.

May she go on to become another Annie Oakley or other great shot.
I'm going to assume nothing negative against her or her parents.
Over and out.

As a former avid pistol shooter who would give his left testicle to get our pistols back (not left arm as I shot with either left or right hand) the video worries me.
Personally I don't think her pistol handling safety was quite poor. I think she is physically incapable due to her size to safely control a pistol of the size of a 19111.
