Actually I think that is punishment duty in N. Korea.Hmm. Nothing new there then. Picture of the Range Officer last time you know who was shooting in the general direction of Bisley….

Indeed and what you cannot see is that everyone else at Bisley that day was lined up behind him - safest place apparently.Actually I think that is punishment duty in N. Korea.
Wether or not you need to weld the bolt lugs and grind back. What will that 'number/measurement' tell me - apart from "X number of layers of tape is Y thick"?
Are you mad? A welder and a grinder?Wether or not you need to weld the bolt lugs and grind back.
You'll need a Tig set, stellex rods and a 4&1/2" grinder.
Probably do it with the farmers old stick welder and some hard facing rods and his old 9" grinder if you can get the Mrs to hold the bolt real tight![]()
Some milage in this saga yetAre you mad? A welder and a grinder?
Jeez!

Not at all, get'm bought and go shoot.
If the source of the copper bases required old English farthings to be sourced, sized and fitted I think the OP would be all over the suggestion. It may be interesting to see if the bullets perform better with copper base cups or without, they certainly make higher velocities possible but can be a pain on reloading
I totally knew you would.

Like SD mentions, flaring the case neck solves any issues. Hence M dies and Lee universal case flaring dies.If you’re dies aren’t set up quite right they can cause dramas when seating, the case decapper/expander die usually needs setting to allow a slightly wider base than for an fmj
I use the Lee one. Actually I use it for some jacketed bullets too. Very handy for flat base bullets, especially on cases without much of a neck to play with.Like SD mentions, flaring the case neck solves any issues. Hence M dies and Lee universal case flaring dies.
