and how on earth do they know whose accounts/usernames link to their FAC holders unless people actually say 'yes' I'm on XYZ social media, and here are my details! which, would be dumb because if their account is hacked and anti's start posting things which catch the attention of the police, the certificate holder is going to get the knock on the door late at night for no reason,,they might not even be aware their account was hacked.

in fact, the mere thought of that happening makes me want to close this account...

we are getting to the point where having any social media is risky for us, begs the question, is it 'worth it'.

so many questions!

It's frighteningly easy for someone who knows how to find out who you are from your online activity, no matter how anonymous you may think you are.

For sure not to mention lots of sales go on through this forum as well your name Is quite easy viewed in your PM's.
Cant just go and make a new account either, Admins typically merge old and new together not to mention no editing of messages over 15 minutes.

My FEO has mentioned something to me which I have not disclosed to them, but I did disclose on this forum. It’s possible they found out elsewhere, but it’s possible they read it on here. I’m assuming they have matched this account to my real self.

Make no mistake about it.

Any FEO worth their salt, will be trawling social media, as part of their 'due diligence' checks.

I have no fear about this.

My FEO happens to be very well informed, punctual, polite and very, very handsome...

Scary... Thankfully I feel like most of the things I've said on this site that I regret Is somewhat justified with my up-bringing and age because quite frankly most of my questions have been genuine not growing up shooting, However my FAC is not even a thought for several more years I'm content enough shooting with my friend, or buying the occasional paid stalk.

Will admit I wish I joined the site this year instead of last I've learned a crud ton, and many of my stupid questions probably would of never been said....

I guess the nice thing Is Problem family member was totally cut out our lives a few months back so that issue no longer exists, I also ironically shot a little spiker that evening my first red... a good and bad day I suppose! Bonus is I've never seen the A-hole again either!

we had one member some years back.
As soon as he mentioned his FEO by name and the firearms manager on here both myself and JAYB had a call from the chief constable asking us to remove the names.
I have been involved enough with the authorities to know that they monitor sites, even more so than in the past.
And no we do not give out people's details either.
