This is a new account for the British Deer Society. The Society exists to educate and inspire everyone about deer in their environment.
We will mainly be using this account to promote BDS training courses and events across the UK.
Our Head Office is near Fordingbridge in Hampshire where our CEO David McAuley is based, however we have staff across the UK and branches covering all of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. For more information please see www.bds.org.uk or email info@bds.org.uk
Thank you
Point taken but don’t be surprised if The BDS point out they are NOT a Shooting organisation. It may appear to be splitting hairs but their charitable status suggests otherwise.I think it’s a good thing that shooting organisations are joining forums and taking an interest in grassroots shooting and stalking. This forum has not only been a huge resource for detailed information on stalking but also the input that members have With views and experience.
The idea that Shooting Organisations and Charities will reach out to us shooters can only be a positive step!
Welcome from me!
The UK still lacks an effective body for real world landscape wide deer control : rising deer numbers and kerb-to-kerb roadkill are mostly what the public see.
You're getting boring now!Yeah.
About that...

The BDS is not a shooting organisation. And quite rightly so.I think it’s a good thing that shooting organisations are joining forums and taking an interest in grassroots shooting and stalking.
