I’ve used PPU .375 300 grn SP & I wasn’t impressed but at least I ended up with 200 cases.
PPU applied bitumen sealant between the bullet & the case neck (as with military RG for instance) & it left a residue in the throat area of the barrel & also needed solvent to clean it from the case
A phosphor bronze removes the tar...
Ah, I was referring to case neck.My bore scope showed otherwise.
@Dr Spin is selling a set of Lee dies in the classifiedsAfter buying the rifle I probably cant afford Norma ammunition! But I do love it in other calibres.
Ive dealt with Pete at MME before - great guy, and a great shout! I will give him a call.
Any recommendations for virgin cases?
Dies - can get a set of redding FL for £60.
Unless anyone selling a cheaper set ???
Feel free to continue recommendations - much appreciated so far
FyiIve just purchased a .375H&H CZ550.
Normally Id reload. Ive seen PPU .375H&H on sale.
What are your thoughts on PPU ammo - 300gn SP- normally Id avoid PPU in other calibres.
For deer, boar in UK, and plains game in SA. No DG.
Thoughts appreciated. Cheers.
270 grainTSX bullet...happily used it on everything
