Liver white spots

Any ideas on these white spots?

Apparently all nodes where fine, deer showing natural behaviour pre shot but was suffering with severe diarrhea
Everything else reportedly normal...

Probably Liver White spots from migrating parasites such as tapeworm. Are there any hard white lumps or cysts below the spots in the liver tissue?

Apparently not.

Was a young Roe buck.

Could still be from parasite migration but maybe not tapeworm. It will be interesting to see what others have to say.

We call it liver fluke in rabbits sometimes more white then red but the rabbits looked ok but they have a relatively short life span so what ever it is never got round to killing them

Pigs get similar milk spots from Ascarid Suis infestation.
Nasty things,they look like fat spaghetti.
Do the Wild Boar show it when shot?

White spots on liver are quite common and often associated with migrating parasites.

Or with ascending bacterial infection via the umbilicus at birth

We call it liver fluke in rabbits sometimes more white then red but the rabbits looked ok but they have a relatively short life span so what ever it is never got round to killing them

It doesn't look anything like liver fluke.
