I have just the thing I’ve been meaning to sell for a while. A ‘T’ frame with holes for S hooks that attaches to your tow ball!Show me your suspended gralloch set ups. I have a pick up with a tow ball and looking for ideas! Thanks, KV

I've not seen one attach to the tail gate like that before, is there a link for you got it?
Bought and modified. A colleague found a guy in South Wales who made his and mine - I modified it then to reduce the bulk of the central tow bar section by making the hitch part removable. I intend to replace the 2 upright sections with aluminium sections as they are too dammed heavy - the base legs are overkill too but they are more manageable. It cost me £120 - a veritable bargain so I’m happy to evolve it. I recently removed the hand winch too as I’ve fitted a cross strut to my FL2 with a winch to pull a carcass tray in and I can use that to hoist up the animal. Every day, the set-up evolves slightly better within the constraints I have to live within. Roe/muntjac are easy to handle - fallow not soDid you make this one or buy it Tony?
Would be interested in purchasing one as it looks compact enough when folded down.

It doesn’t attach it just sits there, held in place by its own weight and the weight of the deer. Unfortunately I don’t think you can buy this type. I made it myself having seen a similar version made by another member. What I can say is it’s a lot lighter and easier to stow than towbar attachments.I've not seen one attach to the tail gate like that before, is there a link for you got it?
Looks fantastic great effort making thatIt doesn’t attach it just sits there, held in place by its own weight and the weight of the deer. Unfortunately I don’t think you can buy this type. Glorified ratchet strap. Had one, sold it quickly. Ratchet would only work if everything perfectly vertical and no use for bigger deer. Getting a red up with that little lever was fun. Lowering them was a touch dramatic!!

Mindset locked in the time P Holden and his NZ budgie smuggler-wearing culler mates. Hell, he even promotes the use of period correct Parker Hales, and when feeling charitable, a Sako - preferably in 222.You do have a desperate need to demonstrate how hard core you are, and it gets tedious.
If you have need to breakdown a beast in the field, for storage in other than a hanging larder, it’s a significant advantage. As in:I’m on the fence with these things, I’ve used telehandlers to suspend deer for processing but I have to say for the gagging about putting these contraptions up and down I can’t see a vast advantage over just doing it on the floor, certainly don’t see how it would be significantly cleaner
This is what I use. I deal for Roe muntjac and C W D not to sure about a fallow. Comes in Three pieces and you can adjust the highShow me your suspended gralloch set ups. I have a pick up with a tow ball and looking for ideas! Thanks, KV

The make is Mannser it's a German company. Put in the name in Google and it will come up. I have a relation how works in Germany he got me it and they posted it over. Hope that helps thanks BlueyLooks ideal. Who makes it?
Agree it is bulky. I built a simple shelf/ cubby for one side of the discovery boot to accommodate it. Then the carcass tubs sit to one side and above it.I generally take all my deer back to the larder either via dragging to a point and then collecting on a quad bike. However the portable frame my friend has bought is I think the one made by Doddington deer services, Dave Streton.
Its a well made piece of kit, and breaks down into several pieces, and attaches to the tow bar on the vehicle. It is quite a lumpy piece of steel to carry around in the back of a truck, and once disassembled takes up a bit of room in the back, which does not leave a huge amount of room for carcasses, especially if you have 3 or 4.
But for those who do not have access to a larder and winch set up, its a good idea and a well made bit of kit in my opinion.
I would add that a suspended gralloch is to my mind far easier than one on the floor. I have done both, and on the open hill a suspended is usually not attainable, so the ground is the only option. But if possible a suspended is far better, and quicker. It also saves your back too. But each to their own.
