Heads up for the Sakophiles out there. There’s something new coming….
Why do they try to fix what isn’t broken ?
Should have stuck with the 75’s from what you read on here.
Would be true if you could topload the t3Even the 75 was a very heavy action for what it was.
The best new Sako is the Tikka T3.
Would be true if you could topload the t3
You read a lot on here and I wouldnt belive it allWhy do they try to fix what isn’t broken ?

what like turning it back into the 75 again? That would be great ! especially if they offered it in a proper stuff composite stock like the McMillan hunter stock copied directly off a 75 stockSeems to be a reworking of the 85 but I’m yet to see it in the flesh.
Ponder upon it a while. Not sure what advantage top-loading gives.
If I have the issue of not enough rounds in the mag, in my rifles I change from 3 shot aics to 4 shot, or 5 shot or 8 shot or 10 shot magazines.Ponder upon it a while.
The ability to fire a single shot, eject, thumb a replacement cartridge into the magazine, or drop it into the chamber, close the bolt and be fully loaded has its attractions.

No, please no ! The dedicated actions are a very big thing , why buy a 223 and have it built on a 30-06 frame with magazine packers ? if i but a smaller cartridge i want the rifle suitably scaled ! if i wanted my 223 to be the size of my 260 rem i would likely just use a longer cartridge than the .223 , likewise why buy 308 if the gun can take 30-06 ?frame wiseMaybe a 85X with issues sorted. They did a good job on T3 -> T3X.
Ejection, scope mounting, bedding, reduce number of action sizes, aics magazines as an option.
As long as they don't copy the German cr ap like "Handspanner", straight pull, "Schlagbolzensicherung".

What was the issue? (I'm interested in getting a 75)what like turning it back into the 75 again? That would be great ! especially if they offered it in a proper stuff composite stock like the McMillan hunter stock copied directly off a 75 stock
That would be brilliant for shooters and would have saved a fortune in re-deigns and spending about two decades fixing what was not broken to reduce their manufacturing costs and turn the cash into recall costs and alterations
The 75 had one slight issue (for some) and for that a simple strip of electrical tape fixed it ( though i dont bother with my two )
