You describe the shop as a "Trader" not a gunsmith, so their level of expertise is far lower. A bluge in a barrel is serious but look how long it's taken to discover.

Time to move on and accept the kind offer of a new barrel, you will end up with a far better rifle than you purchased.

Now where do I send the pictures of kittens in destress🤠

Thanks for the comments. I feel my only hope is the small amount of rounds purchased on my licence and some good morals getting the gunshop.

I know 14 month is a long time, but I have to try.

I'm not asking for something for nothing. I think it's obvious that it must have been worn pre sale. £800 too 😡
Sorry but as said no shop will believe the statement of I only shot x rounds
You could have home loaded 600 and not entered on the certificate .

Blah blah blah.

And why would I? Waste all my time and effort, and plan it for over a year. Just on the off chance they MIGHT have morals.

Besides, I would have to plan to go and buy 20 or 40 round every few month (as it is on my cert).

Pfffft
