If you've got enough interest in something that doesn't come overnight and you have to work at it to get experience and sound knowledge, theres a huge learning curve to stalking deer and it takes time and committment there aint no easy short cut unless of course you want to cheat yourself, or if next year you'll try golf or something else, whether you start out with an outfitter or a mate, whatever way you progress the old way being taken out and or courses, its irrelevant how you do your journey as long as you pick up experience and enjoy every minute good or bad
Whether you taken the path to include courses or not, the bits of paperwork are here to stay, I'm pretty sure those same bits of paper will gain you your continued / renewal Fac in the near future, the writings on the wall, NRA training module , SSC, DSC 1 even a shooting club portfolio - levels of competence I can see they will be mandatory sooner than you think, even before you get your ticket granted, this ain't the time to sit back and say I'm alright jack - its pretty obvious more changes are on route from different avenues
Only my opinion
