Glastonbury

We just upgraded our amp and speakers around the TV so was glued to it the last couple of days just to hear the uprated sound.
Really enjoyed Fat Boy Slims set, I was a popper into techno back in the late 90's o_O

Just caught up on a lot of it, now I like a fair few EJ tunes and his set was being reported as amazing...well, I must have watched the wrong one.

Live music generally sounds rubbish unless you are there, soaking up the experience and atmosphere.

I dunno, been to enough gigs to know the difference.

Some of these acts just sound awful. It can be difficult when its not the bands own gig and the levels aren't set correctly.

Rick Astley sounds like he can sing well live.
Debbie Harry should have stayed in bed.

Anybody watched back any more sets on BBC iPlayer ? Working Men's Club did not disappoint. Not an easy time to play their stuff.
Christine & the Queens was spectacular, a genius.

The you went to the same live fish market as it was a trip to the Nordic countries. We had move bobble hats so they knew what school they kids were from.
It was a different trip, Easter Holidays I think. It was around the Med. Remember visiting the remains of a Roman brothel in Pompey (very amusing to schoolboys!)

Glastonbury is great u hear all sorts, I was brought up in the 60s 70s 80s.Beatles , Sweet, slade, ska, ect, Disco music 🕺 When groups actually had to play instruments, now am hearing rap music? Drill music? Only new wat it was cos my nephew explained to me, to me it’s just racquet , 😬

Not a Drill fan myself, love some Rap/Hip-Hop (especially 90s stuff) but still plenty of bands out there putting out quality music in the traditional western 3/4/5 piece setup.
