The Boss is Back in Town

This time last week, I wasn't doing anything special on Wednesday and then last Saturday evening, my wife and I watched the programmes about Bruce Springsteen on BBC2. We saw him for the first time at Sunderland last year - when in Bruce's own words, the weather was hellacious!!!! I started looking on my phone for tickets and eventually found Ticketmaster had tickets that had been sold but returned available. I suggested to my wife we should go again and she agreed!!! Tickets booked we then found accommodation and on Wednesday, we set off for the three hour drive from Newcastle to Liverpool.

When we saw Bruce last year, my wife said it was like going to church. This year I agreed except I would say it's like gospel music with Bruce as the pastor, the E Street Band the choir and the crowd the congregation who hang on his every word, and he holds everyone in the palm of his hand. It is three hours of non-stop entertainment, he literally does not draw breath between songs and crams 27 into the set list. As well as Bruce, you have the E Street Band - the drummer is superb, you have Clarence Clemons nephew on sax, and the fantastic Nils Lofgren and Steve Van Zandt on guitars. And what you are watching is people doing what they love with people that they love. After they took their final bow, Bruce stood and shook the hand of every band member as they left the stage, there's not many front men would do that.
And as he is 75 years old, I would love to know what he takes!!!!!:D:D:D

We went to Wembley to see him last year. What a show! As Lever357 says above, he does not stop. What a performer.
Would I go and see him again, that would be a YES.

What a crowd and performance.
