Hunting Statistics from Finland

The Finns and the Russians have a long history of 'Duking it out'.

I have a Russian Mosin-Nagant rifle, which is a 'Finnish capture' from the early days of the 'Winter War' in WWII.

In fact, the 'new' owner scratched their initials into the stock - 'VH'

These rifles were often fettled by the Finns and turned into much improved firearms.

Here’s one, WW2 capture re-stock by Sako, chamber is now 7.62x53R and falls into my grubby mitts for a hunt.
Not to sound ungrateful but it was a bit agricultural.

I think my post has been high jacked so many different ways, could you block it please?

I am sorry you feel that way.

If every thread that went 'off piste' was blocked, this site (any site) would die on it's arse in a day.

Your post has initiated some interesting and amusing responses - if any thread I started did the same, I would be delighted.

They are a good bunch of folks in my direct experience , more similar to us than the rest of Europe as regards attitude and humour .
I would disagree on that! Once we were supposed to go drinking, me and an Englishman, but already when we started the first pint the fella said "cheers" (or something similar)??? Obviously he just wanted to talk instead of drinking!
