Never said it was a jeep in any of my replies fella.Unless vehicle is a Jeep, it is not. No Jimmy is a jeep. Spoken as an old school jeep owner , experience with MB models from 1944 to CJ2A 1946, CJ7 1985.

Dead man walking! And anyway it’s a jimNy!!Impossible. Jimmy has no soul.
There is a company that will do an extended rear tray
I don't know the name of the firm, but they are UK based and do much the same as KAP
Does affect the departure angle though
there is no perfect solution
Best to give them a call to be honestThinking of sending mine in for the same what’s the turnaround ?
There used to be an aftermarket 1.5 diesel option available in Europe for some reason!Wonder if you can fit bigger engines in Jimnys? Be great with a 2 L diesel.
Agreed a metre longer metre wider would be idealAye swings and roundabouts, depends which compromise suits u best.
Must admit always thought suzuki were missing a trick in the UK with not importing the lwb model and if nz I presume right hand drive.
Everyone I know that have owned 1 all same the same great but small.
Do diahatsu still make a wee van thing, I think suzuki made a wee tiny 4wd flat bed thing.
A local farmer had a few different 1s over the years. He loved them for running about and carrying feed etc, they still had a landy for trailer work.
Was quite a wet farm and it was always well gluaared up so must of been ok off road.
Must admit been a long long time since I looked at wee 4wd options
There's also the risk when you put a big powerful lump in a car that wasn't designed for it, that you upset the balance of the car. That could be a problem with the little lightweight Jimny.I’m not keen to go down the engine swap route again
I once put a 6.2 GMC V8 diesel in a Mk 1 disco
It was OK for messing around off road, but was a hopelessly poor choice as an exped vehicle in the Sahara
It now sits on the farm rusting away with brambles growing out of it
I seem to remember they used to swap the Vitara engine into the JimnyWonder if you can fit bigger engines in Jimnys? Be great with a 2 L diesel.
I like the agility of the short wheelbase but I was wondering whether KAP could make an extended rear load bay, Defender 130-style.If you want a Jimny that's a bit bigger with a bigger engine then just save yourself a lot of money and hassle and buy a Vitara
Yes wasn't it a 1.6 as opposed to the factory 1.3?Didn't kap do a vauxhall engine conversion years ago ? @eldon
