Everyday Boots question

I have a pair of Lowa Tibet gtx which I have had for 6+ years can't fault them, just need to get them resoled now.
Also have a pair of Lowa Hunter gtx for the colder weather.Great boots.

All the best, Phil

I’m currently living in a pair of Grisports, 14 hour days 7 days a week and I’m pretty impressed with them, plus I got them for 60% of the retail price.

Wear altbergs daily whether it’s dog walking through fields and bracken or working in forestry. Built well and waterproof unlike most others.

Defenders Normally get decent seconds from army surplus places for £50 and get 6 months out them.

Use field and fells which last me about a year from new.

I have a Lowa Tibet and so far it has handled every terrain I have thrown at it from rough mountains to long grass to slippery wet mud to even just hanging around on the high seat. Sometimes choosing quality over price makes a difference as the last walking boots I had lasted about 12 years.

I would suggest GRI sports Gamekeeper boots.
I have their Dartmoor walking shoes. V comfortable lovely to wear but I think mine were made incorrectly and leak on the tongue as it is not high enough. I don't think there will be an issue with the boots.

Find out which fit and suit your feet not all boots fit is equal. Supposedly why the military have several choices for the same conditions.

Hanwag Tatra top ( high leg) is my choice. Mine are well worn and never rubbed. Really good boot. Mine are about 4 or 5 yrs old and walked some boggy miles. I would buy them again.
My wife has lowa but I thought hanwag was nicer boot. Felt better to my foot.
Spending that much you have to try boots.

Wear these in your wellies. You will have good stability, no rubbing or socks being pulled down and dry feet for hours.

Best everyday boots I've had were Altberg Warriors. I wouldn't recommend buying military surplus ones(Defenders) they're similar but not the same quality. I’ve found that I can take the warriors out of the box, give them a polish and wear all day with no issues, the surplus ones take a lot of gradual breaking in or I get bad blisters.

For daily wear asolo fugitive . Been wearing them daily for the past 10-15 years. Comfortable and waterproof . They feel like slippers .

I found sizing to be critical with this boot more than any I’ve owned. One size larger was a must for me in part due to their narrow fit.
