Interesting use for venison

I read this and although it's a bit of a nothing article I thought it was showing venison (including roadkill) being put to good use.

With the price of venison (in the fur) being less than premium raw dog food I'm surprised more people aren't shooting deer to feed dogs, or in this case exotic pets.

Well I am not shooting them to feed the dogs, but there isn't much waste and a lot of 'dog venison'. No point turning my nose up at some bits when the dogs will love me forever and there are less biscuits consumed.

I'm definitely more ruthless with the knife when butchering now and only keep the best bits for me, everything else goes to the dog. In the past I'd be scraping every bone clean for extra mince but now the dog enjoys those bits.

Soon somebody will write an article about how cruel it is that they let lions in places such as the Kruger, Hwange, Lower Zambezi, Luangwa, Etosha and other national parks chase and kill real live antelopes.

In these days they should be fed a processed plant based diet. :)
