Looking at a new rifle in this calibre for the first time. The twist rate on new guns varies from 1:7 to 1:14. My understanding is the faster twist rates will stabilise heavier/longer bullets and the slower rates better for lighter bullets. The new gun is for foxing mainly and at present I’m using 53gr V Max (on 22gr N130) in .223. I want to stay with the lighter bullets, under 60gr. Should I avoid the 1:7 (CZ600 Alpha) and go with 1:10 (Sauer 100)??
and before this thread goes off topic….Yes, I know about the CZ recall etc!
