Kenwood mixer mincer attachment šŸ‘šŸ»

Just a heads up for anyone who doesn't have a mincer and DOES have a Kenwood stand mixer in their kitchen. I've just bought a mincer attachment for the Kenwood K-Mix and having used it today to mince all the trim, etc from a munty carcass I have to say it was money well spent! Doesn't clog up, bog the motor down or anything else undesirable, and happily pulled through anything that would fit down the hole with no need at all for the "pusher" tool. Normally I'd end up feeding a lot of the trim and flanks, rib meat, etc to my dogs but instead I've been able to make it all into burgers - result!

I have a kenwood chef and mincer and it works well. Just be aware for the chef model you need the mincer attachment and an adapter. A bit frustrating if you have to wait for it to arrive while there is a bucket load of scraps to be minced!

I'm using the mincer on my Kenwood chef elite for a few years now, and is brilliant.
Put through it 30-40 kg of venison and pork fat at the time, never let me down.

Agreed they are excellent - I know someone that used one of the fancy kitchen aids and burned it out. Ken wood has a much stronger motor apparently.

I’ve got one on the k mix been using it for the past 5 years. Very good, the sausage making attachment that comes with the mincer is also good to use

I think the kitchenaids have a sacrificial kevlar gear which is designed to break before the rest of the machine so should be a easy fix if that's what happened.

I'd go for the Kenwood any day though over a Kitchenaid.

Yes, a very good tool, I’ve got one that looks like this this but for my Kitchenaid. It was very cheap, like in the Ā£30 bracket, a bit crap because the main body of it and auger are cast Aluminium so can’t go into the dishwasher. but , still , it’s nice and handy and convenient if I just need to do a few kg of meat. I’ve got a more powerful tri spade dedicated mincer that I bought from Weschenfelder for when I have more to do. Id not wat to run a few fallow or wild boar through the stand mixer, But for that quick bit of sausage or burger prep it’s a brilliant tool.
Kindest regards, Olaf
