Wow that’s a fair lump!

Blimey a weight of 3.8kg! What’s the boot up time. Be nice to be able to switch it on for the shot then off again. You’d only need a battery time to last 20mins. Nice to see a replaceable 18650 battery, so if your out and the scopes dead the night is not a total loss.

1.1kg, 3.8 would be a monster of a thing!

The bare scope is just under 1.2kg, but then you would need to add extra weight for the back up battery, scope mounts and an IR (and its mount)
Depending on the IR used the all up weight could be anywhere between around 1.6-2Kg
The daytime image will better than a Zulu and maybe the NV image as well - depending how the sensor is set up to work in low light.
It will be the best day/night scope with LRF and BC on the market based on it's performance and image quality
Whether or not it's the best value day/night scope with LRF and BC is a different story
IMHO:
People buying the new Alpex are buying the best scope available.
People buying the Zulus are buying the best value scope available
People buying the PARD DS35 - why ?????????????

Cheers

The Zulus is x5 base mag and has a maximum magnification of x20 (x4 digital zoom)
The PARD DS35-50 has a base mag of x4 and a maximum magnification of x8 (x2 digital zoom)
The PARD DS35-70 has a base mag of x5.6 and a maximum magnification of x11.2 (x2 digital zoom)
You'd need very good eyes to tell the difference between x5 and x5.6 magnification and I can tell you from having tested all these scopes that the Zulus image at the higher magnifications (x7.5 on the Zulus V x8 with the DS35-50 and x10 or x12,5 on the Zulus V x11.2 on the DS35-70) is far better
So, my conclusion is unchanged - but keep trying :)

Ha I've no dog in this fight as I'm way too skint to afford any of them.

But thought when ds35-70 first came out, I saw you & Russ looking at one and you concluded the base mag was actually higher than what pard claimed? 🤷‍♀️

Even using our measured base magnifications neither of the DS35s can match the image quality of the Zulus at those magnifications
