if you don’t close a blaser it won’t fire.
In August 2014, Svensk Jakt wrote that another Swede, Tony Kristoffersson, had experienced an explosion with his R93 while on a Beaver hunt the same year. He described that his rifle had made a clicking sound as if it had failed to fire, but exploded when he tried to pull the bolt back, which resulted in the bolt hitting his hand.[25] The Swedish Blaser distributor later stated that while it is possible to pull the trigger without the bolt being fully locked into battery, the firing pin is designed such that it will not hit the primer with sufficient force to ignite the cartridge.
Sounds like he had a firing pin hang up which released when the bolt was opened. The shooter was not using the correct procedure for a hangfire so hurt his hand. User error certainly. Bolt needed a clean possibly?case 6 insufficient details
I thought it sounded like a hang fire that he opened before waiting the 30 seconds. same as any rifle.Sounds like he had a firing pin hang up which released when the bolt was opened. Even then, several gunsmiths can rebarrel using your original barrel stub I believe.I have 2.
I like the straight pull, I like the trigger. I like that mine seems to shoot all ammo I feed it with accurately. I like the safety of the decocker mechanism.
I don't like the top loading, but I can live with that. I dont like the force needed to put the decocker to live.
Don't see any reason to sell until the barrels wear out.
If you don’t slam the R8 shut it doesn’t always fire,if you don’t close a blaser it won’t fire.
you need to get yours looked atIf you don’t slam the R8 shut it doesn’t always fire,
unlike the R93.
Yes, that is correct. Personally, however, I would be tempted to use the Austrian company which is currently licensed by Blaser to manufacture its R8 barrels, although going down that route for an R93 replacement barrel would likely be the most expensive option.Even then, several gunsmiths can rebarrel using your original barrel stub I believe.
No need, it’s an R93 not an overpriced R8 that you have to slam shut.you need to get yours looked at

Yes what do you want to know?Has anyone had a R93 barrel from Bixn-Andy company?
