Isofix bracket

Can anyone recommend an isofix bracket for rear seats in a double cab pickup - so many different sorts I’m not sure what will work in my hilux and ideally don’t want to go down the road of buying to check but will if I have to.

Thanks

Do you mean an adapter bracket, so you can use isofix baby seats on non-isofix car seats?

If so, id strongly advise you just bite the bullet and buy some seats that are designed to be seatbelt retained. Isofix is a consumer friendly / easy to use system, but is for convenience. A seat belt retained seat has to pass the same crash testing to be proven safe and saleable.

Nobody will have tested the random isofix adapters that you can find on the internet. So no guarantee they work.

Halfords have several such seats

I recently bought a "Graco" child car seat in order that I can take my granddaughter in my pickup. The pickup doesn't have an isofix attachment. The Graco seat can either be attached by the traditional seat belt method, or by using isofix. It can also be used as a "booster seat" (ie, with the vehicle seat belt passing in front of the child and providing restraint) when they outgrow the fitted harness (ie, over 18kg).
It's a very versatile bit of kit.

Can you clarify what you are looking for? I can recommend maxi cosy 360 seats if you have isofix in your cab. Makes it easier to get a sleeping baby out of the car. Also have a Jioi (joiu?joii?, some mix of Js and vowels) in my car. It was from John Lewis on offer and not too expensive. It uses Isofix, seat belt, and another strap that loops over the back sea into the hard points in the boot. I think it can be fitted without the isofix. Very solid, but the convenience of the 360 means it is my favourite.

The seat belt only ones I have used, I'm sure are perfectly safe but never felt as solid.

Basically, I’ve recently had twins and I’ve got 1 older child , the older child can sit in the middle , but is very stressful trying to get all in the back with the seat belt ones .

It’s not an everyday thing only a few journeys on weekends but would like the convenience of isofix in the rear of my hilux but it doesn’t have isofix points so I require a bracket.

We have other vehicles which are used by my wife during the week when I’m at work .

It’s just so on weekends when I’m home we can go about as a family without stress of squeezing 3 in the back with the seatbelts strapping around the chairs.

I do not want a people carrier as my drive cannot take another vehicle and all other vehicles have requirements.

Have a look at something like this.

I used the maxi cosi pebble seat, then the pearl when he got a bit bigger.

The benefit for you, is that you can leave the base in place. Easily take out the seat, and your eldest can get in the middle. Then the seat slots straight back in. You can also get pram adapters so the seat can be taken out and put right in the pram.

Cheaper options are available, we just went with maxi cosi as we had a family recommendation.

This is what we bought when in a similar position - the seat belt goes behind the child's backrest if that makes sense, so once the seat is fitted you don't touch the seat belt. Just use the harness.

I bought 2 for my toddlers, and they just live permanently in the van. If you don't need R2 during your work week, you could leave them in.
