hi please can anybody give me advice i have a 17hmr and ita shooting about 6-10 inches high ive run out of elevation down and cannot get it zeroed 100 yards my scope has 50 MOA and I have a 20MOA rail do I need more MOA rings thansk
 
You could get some scope mounts that have adjustability in them also.

I'm surprised you've run out of elevation adjustment and still 6-10" high! Something could be out of whack! Does the rifle group well?

Yes rifle groups well nail size at 100 yards with steady wind it might be the scope to be honest only has small amount of MOA

As said above , ditch the MOA rails. My CZ455 HMR is fitted with a 4-16x50 Hawke Sidewinder scope via bog standard Hawke High Dovetail mounts. Zeroed perfectly at 100yard with very little elevation adjustment.
 
We never had these inclined mounts back in the day but now they are everywhere.

Intended for long range shooting and not really needed on air guns or rimfires or normal use rifles and I often wonder how many are fitted the wrong way around!
