Alternative to Sportacs

I had that issue and just bought a replacement headband which took five minutes to replace and is the whole headband/cable/connector assembly
Ok. How does the cable disconnect. Is it plug in or soldering?

I looked at it with the orange covers off and there was an elongated PCB board with no obvious disconnection method?

I had a pair of MSA Sardines for 7 years... lots of use and abuse...range/stalking /wildfowling... had the same wire problem... oh well out of warranty, nowt about repairs on the website, so I treated myself to a new set. 2 months later at the shooting show got talking to the importers.... fixed price repair they said... £60 plus postage... at the time a new set was 180 so off they went and I now have a spare set.... only issue if have really had is the gel pads seem to split on me all the time so I no longer have them but the standard foam ones.

would I buy them again? yes

Ok. Sorted. Earshot communications responded today even though its a bank holiday.

They will do the job for 45.00 of our fine GBP's.

That's part, remove, replace & postage which compared to £145.00 quoted by the person Peltor direct you too, is a bargin. If your happy at DIY, the part is 10.00 plus postage and VAT

So a huge thanks to them for answering on a bank holiday which I had forgotten

Mine have done the same. I hate wearing them really both with the rifles at the range and odd clays with the shotgun. Have you looked into any of the inner ear type?
Yes. But too much money for me ATM plus I get problems as small inner ear. Plus little protection around the bone although thats another can of worms all of its own.

I may need a replacement myself, a battery change isn’t due for at least 6 months. Are Earshot the supplier as well?

Thanks

Just received a new cable from Earshot Communications for my Peltors, £28 all in, including VAT and delivery. Good communication and service from them.
However, I understand that Peltor have not changed the composition of the cable outer sheathing, so give it 5 years or so and I could well be back for another cable. That I am not so impressed with.
