Think instead of the negotiation that price would possibly rise through the season so the 50p/lb was guaranteed as the minimum but not saying some could be paid more with a wee bit favouritism.It says minimum price, not maximum, and urgently wanted, so I guess there was scope for negotiation there.

I made more money selling pigeons at 6d each and the occasional badger for £1
